IV pumps, dressing change kits, filters, tubing...the multitude of tools, and equipment associated with IV therapy can be overwhelming, particularly if IVs are used only periodically in your pharmacy or facility. It is important that pharmacists, even those not working directly with IV preparation, be familiar with the accurate, and appropriate use of these products to ensure patient safety and infection prevention. This session will provide a hands-on introduction to the various tools, and equipment used in infusion therapy. |
